PLACES

Quito
Doesn't it just take your breath away? Quito is considered a small town for some and a big city for others, but anyway you see it, it is a lovely and stunning place in the world.

Guadalupe Virgin
Virgin Guadalupe's story is dated back to 1531, in Tepeyac. She appeared to the recently baptized native, Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin who brought flowers presented by the Virgin to the bishop who didn't believe his story about him seeing the Virgin, when he put them on the floor Virgin Guadalupe's portrait was left in his clothes, if you see her eyes, you'll notice the reflexion of the faces of the people who were present that day including the bishop, as if it where a picture.

Over the Rainbow

CDMX
Mexico is such a strange place, everything you can imagine about it, it is, but also not. Mexico can be those beautiful little towns full of color everywhere you see and small streets or it can be a city with buildings that touch the sky and a hundred cars in front of you and a hundred more behind. But if I had to use 2 words to describe CDMX, they would be beautiful and strange.

Oh the places you'll see!

Guachalá
Care to visit one of the most beautiful and haunted plances I've ever been to? Don't worry, it is not dangerous and it is more beautiful than spooky in my opinion. Well this beautiful place is called Guachalá Castle and it is located 45 minutes from Quito, Ecuador.

Mexico
You can find such beautiful landscapes next to Mexico's highways. If you want to visit Mexico here's a tip: fill the gas in your car before you start your trip, you can go miles and miles without seeing any gas station on the highway and you don't want to be left stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Miami
Miami beach has one of the bluest waters I've ever seen. If there wasn't a horizon to separate the sky from the ocean, the blue you sea would be almost the same.

Miami
On my way to Cape Canaveral I couldn't resist to take this picture, it is probably one of the most beautiful highways I have ever seen.

Chapultepec
The stained glass found inside the Chapultepec Castle dates back to the 1900’s and these beautiful pieces of art were created in Paris. They represent five Roman Goddesses, each one carrying their attributes and symbols.

Chapultepec
Diana: In Roman religion, she was the goddess of wild animals and the hunt, identified with the Greek goddess Artemis. She was born with her twin brother Apollo on the island of Delos. A goddess of both chastity and fertility, and also of the moon. As a fertility deity she was invoked by women to aid conception and delivery.

Chapultepec
Ceres: She was the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain, and the love a mother bears for her child. Ceres was the goddess of the harvest and was credited with teaching humans how to grow, preserve, and prepare grain and corn. She was thought to be responsible for the fertility of the land. She was the only one of the gods who was involved on a day-to-day basis in the lives of the common folk.

Chapultepec
Pomona: She was the goddess of abundance in Roman mythology. She protected the fruit trees, gardens and orchards, and was one of the few Roman deities that did not have a counterpart in Greek mythology.

Chapultepec
Flora: She is the Roman Goddess of flowering plants, especially those that bear fruit. Spring, of course, is Her season, and She has elements of a Love-Goddess, with its attendant attributes of fertility, sex, and blossoming. She is quite ancient; the Sabines are said to have named a month for Her (which corresponds to our and the Roman April). Hers is the beginning of the process that finds its completion with Pomona, the Goddess of Fruit and the Harvest; and like Pomona, Flora had Her own flamen, one of a small number of priests each in service to a specific Deity.

Chapultepec
Hebe: She was the goddess of youth, she served nectar and ambrosia to the Olympians and later married Heracles. It was believed that she had the ability to restore youth.

Guanajuato
Guanajuato is like a dream, even though it is a really small town there are so many touristic attractions and really amazing restaurants. What a breathtaking place to visit!

Clowdy day

On the road.
When I'm on the highway with my parents and we see some parts of a mountain where the layers of the soil are more visible, my dad usually tells me all about why they look like that and how they were formed, these are usually places where you can see the sediment between the rocks meaning that there could have been a large mass of water such as an ocean or a lake, and in the sediment it is possible to find fossils which is pretty interesting. Usually when the soil has a reddish color is because it contains lots of iron.
To me, that makes the roadtrips 100 times better!

When you are on the highway, in a matter of minutes the weather changes drastically, from the pleasing warmth of the sun to a heavy fog that only allows you to see as far as the front of your car; as opposite as black is from white.

Mexico full of history.
- It was originally constructed in 1725 on the orders of the Viceroy Bernardo de Gálvez, and was meant to be a large manor house for the Viceroy, who was the commander-in-chief of the Spanish colony, New Spain.
- Currently the castle is the seat of National Museum of Cultures, which was formerly known as the Museum of Natural History. It was established as such by Lázaro Cárdenas in 1939.
- Chapultepec is the only castle within Central-North America to ever house actual sovereigns.
